The Council’s composition has been determined by law and reflects its independence. It is mainly comprised of specialists, known for their scientific expertise in the field of academic evaluation, but also consists of parliamentarians from both the majority and opposition parties as well as members of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) who embody France’s regard for its school system.
